Meet in the Memorial Car park at the top of Factory Lane where it joins the A6, Whittle -le-Woods, Chorley PR6 7HS, at 6 p.m. on Thursday 4th August.
The car park may not be obvious. It is opposite Cow Well Lane and the Whittle Pharmacy. St. Johns's primary school is on the adjacent corner. The car park is free.

Starting at the top of Factory Lane where it joins the A6, Whittle - le Woods, Chorley PR6 7HS. The adjacent War Memorial Car Park (which is free) is accessed through a narrow entrance on the corner of the A6 Preston Road and Factory Lane itself. St John's Primary School is on the opposite corner.
The route crosses the A6 and up Cow Well Lane to pass through all the cycle paths in Whittle le Woods to Clayton Green. It then takes in mostly minor roads through Brindle and Gregson Lane to Salmesbury Bottoms, returning through Houghton, Denham Hill and Whittle le Woods.
Total distance is 18 miles and an undulating route with some short sharp hills.
