A short ride to Twin Lakes to work off some of the over Indulgence over Xmas, depending on number of riders etc. We may split into two groups.

This is similar to "Chorley to Twin Lakes Circular" but the return distance is halved.
Start is Astley Park Gates, Chorley PR7 1JU.
Car parking is available in the adjacent car park on Queens Road. Turn right just after the park gates when travelling south on the A6 from junction 8, M61. This car park is only free on Sundays and after 5 p.m. weekdays.
There is an alternative car park Hallgate, Astley Village, Chorley PR7 1NP. This is a fairly large car park and is free at all times. There are toilets at the adjacent Astley Hall, though they may not be open until 9 a.m.
The route is clockwise through the railway car park to Eaves Lane and Cowling Brow. From here along by Anglezarke reservoir to Grimeford, Blackrod, Red Rock and Worthington to Standish. A short cycle path follows, then to Hunger Hill, Wrightington and Grape Lane to Croston and Twin Lakes.
Return is via Ulnes Walton, Runshaw Lane, Buckshaw Village and Euxton to Astley Park.
