Ride is Starting!

Meet at Astley Hall, Chorley PR7 1XA, at 10 a.m. on Sunday 2nd November. Route and parking details as below.
A short ride again due to the uncertain weather conditions. Please bring the usual emergency tools and puncture repair equipment.
Daytime running lights are also a good idea. There will be the option of a cafe stop (as always!), probably in Longton.
Total distance is 26 miles. Some hills early on, nothing severe.
NO ONE will be left behind.

Leaving from Astley Hall, Chorley PR7 1XA.
Car Parking is conveniently located on Hallgate, Astley Village, Chorley PR7 1NP. ( What3words: ///retail.transfers.fuels ). This is a fairly large car park and is free at all times (though not for much longer!). There are toilets at Astley Hall, but will probably only be open between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The route is anti-clockwise, through the park to the gates, up Harpers Lane, then Botany Brow, taking NCN 91 to Top Lock, climbing Denham Hill to Brindle and Gregson Lane.  Thence through Higher Walton to Avenham Park and over the bridge towards New Longton and Whitestake. Return is through Farington, Leyland and Buckshaw Village.
