Meet at 9.30 a.m., Sunday 30th August in the small car park on the right (travelling North on the A6) on Garstang road, Bilsborrow PR3 0RE. The car park is situated just after the left turn into St Michaels Road (Guy’s Thatched Hamlet) and just before the Right turn into Bilsborrow Lane (The Roebuck and the Premier Inn).
The route is as below and takes in Knott End, Fleetwood and Blackpool, utilising the coastal cycle path. Early food stop hopefully at Amy's Kitchen in Knott End if it is open. Other alternatives will be available in Knott End or Fleetwood. A cake stop for a Vanilla slice will be available in Stanley Park on the return. (other cakes are available). The Ferries from Knott End run every 30 minutes and A MASK will need to be worn. The Ferry costs £2-50 per adult with bike so please have this available.
Current restrictions mean that only 6 participants are allowed on the ride. If you book on over the 6 you will move up a place if someone should drop out, but only the first 6 should attend on the day.

The route is along St Michaels Road to Inskip. Thence through Elswick, Great Eccleston, Pilling and Knott End. (There is a toll bridge over the Wyre en route on Cartford Lane which is 20p for cyclists). Take the ferry from Knott End to Fleetwood. The ferry runs every half hour, usually 30 mins past and on the hour from Knott End, but this may vary (https://www.facebook.com/FleetwoodtoKnottEndFerry/).
The Ferry costs £3 for an adult with bike, CASH is preferred. Please make sure you have the money for this! the ferry takes 10 minutes.
From Fleetwood follow the NCN route 62 along the promenade as far as Blackpool Tower before turning inland through Stanley Park to Weeton, Wesham, Kirkham, Treales and Woodplumpton, returning to Bilsborrow.
The Total distance is 52 miles, and a pretty flat route.
