Meet in the small car park on the right on the A6 (travelling North on the A6) on Garstang road, Bilsborrow PR3 0RE, Sunday 18th July at 9.30 a.m.
This car park is situated just AFTER the left turn into St Michaels Road (Guy’s Thatched Hamlet) and just BEFORE the Right turn into Bilsborrow Lane (The Roebuck and the Premier Inn). Route details as below. Lunch will be taken at Puddleducks Tearoom in Dunsop Bridge.
Participant numbers are restricted to 9 on this website, so please do not sign on above this number. I will, however, put further places on the Let's Ride website.
Riders are responsible for social distancing and hand hygiene where appropriate. A mask may be required for the cafe stop.
The route is hilly, but the 3000 ft of climbing may not be accurate as another estimate is 2,125 ft!

Start is from the small car park on the right on the A6 (travelling North on the A6) on Garstang road, Bilsborrow PR3 0RE. The route heads northward (clockwise) up National Route 6 for the first climbing up the lower road in the shadow of Oakenclough. The route then turns East to a further climb up to Marshaw, with a further descent before passing through the Trough of Bowland and the climb of the same name. The subsequent descent passes through Dunsop bridge, (Cafe and toilets here), and along the valley floor to Whitewell. Continuing west along the loop there is some more climbing to Chipping, (Cafe and toilets here), then North around Beacon fell towards Inglewhite, returning to Bilsborrow.
