Start from Astley Park gates, Chorley PR7 1JU.
Car Parking is conveniently located on Queens Road car park, PR7 1JU. This is next to the park gates. Turn right immediately after the park gates when entering Chorley from the Preston direction or M61 junction 8. Parking should be free after 5 p.m. and all day on Sunday. There is an alternative car park for Astley Hall on Hallgate, Astley Village, PR7 1NP. This is free at all times. You will have to ride through the park to the start.
The route goes anti-clockwise past the Town Hall and through the station car park to Eaves Lane. From here up Cowling Brow to Limbrick and along Long Lane to Horrobin Lane, climbing up to Rivington, then Sheephouse Lane and over Belmont to Belmont Village. From here follow the main Belmont road descending into Abbey Village, then via Brinscall, Wheelton, Town Lane and Lucas Lane to join the A6. Turn off the A6 at the Sea View to pass through Buckshaw Village, then Back to Astley Park.
