Up to 60 entrants now. I Rode Malham Raikes on Monday to see what it’s like, usually as most do I go up Cove Road. I’d put it around the 4th hardest I’ve done after Kingsdale, the coal road, and Fleet Moss. There are lots of walkers crossing the road at various points and watching you, so honour demands you gasp you’re way relentlessly upwards.
Found a nice cafe at the Old Sawmill in Clapham and then back over Bowland Knotts. Stephen, you’ll be needing that big dinner plate gear of yours.
