I have posted this years ride as a group ride. I will be doing the 60 miler. Looks like Malham Raikes is back!
They look to be struggling for entrants again – only 35 to date, maybe it’ll pick up bit how about we do it as a route anyway if they do cancel it?
We could, though I think I would shorten the route a little bit! Leaving in the nasty hills of course
Up to 60 entrants now. I Rode Malham Raikes on Monday to see what it’s like, usually as most do I go up Cove Road. I’d put it around the 4th hardest I’ve done after Kingsdale, the coal road, and Fleet Moss. There are lots of walkers crossing the road at various points and watching you, so honour demands you gasp you’re way relentlessly upwards.
Found a nice cafe at the Old Sawmill in Clapham and then back over Bowland Knotts. Stephen, you’ll be needing that big dinner plate gear of yours.
