Access is from the car park on Hallgate, Astley Village, Chorley PR7 1NP. This is a fairly large car park and is free. (Please note the car park on Queens Road by the gates is currently CLOSED, though there is free parking on a Sunday on the road by the park gates). There are toilets at Astley Hall.

The route passes through Astley Park to Euxton, Croston, Bispham Green, Burscough Bridge then Rufford for a potential lunch stop. It continues back to Bispham Green then via Bentley Lane to Wrightington, Standish, Worthington, Coppull and Chorley.
