Meet in the free car park in the village of Bolton by Bowland BB7 4NW at 10 a.m. on Sunday 3rd April. Route and further details as below. Please bring the usual puncture repair equipment and usual emergency tools. Cash/ card if you require lunch. A hilly, though not overly long ride.
NO ONE will be left behind.

Starting from the free car park in Bolton By Bowland, BB7 4NW, where there are also toilets. The route climbs gently over to Wigglesworth before crossing to Settle. Three Peaks Cycles have a good cafe and you can look at all the shiny bikes at the same time. Taking the back road out of Settle there is a gentle climb to the junction above Helwith Bridge - there follows a cracking descent into Austwick plus a bit of 'strada bianchi' avoiding the main road into Clapham.

From Clapham take the road signed 'Clapham Station' be sure to cross the main road carefully, the traffic can be fast! The road starts to climb towards the distant hilltops as you take on the splendid climb over Bowland Knotts, there's even a large boulder at the top where you can pose for photos! Descend carefully to pass the mountain bike trails at Gisburn, at the main road go straight across before the final and long descent back to the start.
