Start is from the Car Park at the Buckshaw Village Community Playing Fields (Buckshaw Bernabau) on Old Worden Lane, Buckshaw Village PR7 7AE (What3Words ///lamenting.wording.equity). The postcode can be misleading, better to use 'Old Worden Avenue' than rely on the postcode which will send you to the housing estate opposite. The car park is free and usually quiet if there are no football matches in progress.
The route is anti-clockwise via Dawson Lane, Langdale Road and Worden Park to Moss Side, then turning South to Eccleston via Ulnes Walton. From here the route goes to Wrightington and Standish following the Mineral Line and Rectory Lane to Arley and Grimeford Lanes. From here it crosses the reservoir to Rivington then up to Anglezarke viewpoint from the easy side. Descending into White Coppice, the return is via Whittle-le-Woods and Dawson Lane back to the start.
