Meet at Astley Park Gates, Chorley PR7 1JU, at 6 p.m. on Thursday 23rd June. Route and parking details as below.
Please bring the usual emergency tools and puncture repair equipment. Daytime running or emergency lights are a good idea on evening rides.
*We recommend all participants carry emergency contact details about their person*.
There are some gentle hills on the route, notably Grimeford lane, which is a bit of a drag, but none are especially steep. Arley lane is quite rough in parts. It is doable on a standard road bike with care, but heavier duty tyres are ideal.
Total distance is 20 miles.

Route commences at Astley Park gates, Chorley PR7 1JU.
Car Parking is conveniently located on Queens Road car park, PR7 1JU. This is next to the park gates. Turn right immediately after the park gates when entering Chorley from the Preston direction or M61 junction 8. Parking should be free after 5pm and all day Sunday.
Passing down Market Street then up George St., Lyons Lane and Brook St. to ride down Cowling Brow and Long Lane to Grimeford Lane. From here you skirt Blackrod via Little Scotland to Wigan Golf Club; then Standish, Hunger Hill and Wrightington, returning to Chorley via Charnock Richard.
