Start in the small car park on the right (travelling North on the A6) on Garstang road, Bilsborrow PR3 0RE. The car park is situated just after the left turn into St Michaels Road (Guy’s Thatched Hamlet) and just before the Right turn into Bilsborrow Lane (The Roebuck and the Premier Inn). The route is along St Michaels Road to Inskip. Thence through Elswick, Great Eccleston, Pilling and Knott End. (There is a toll bridge over the Wyre en route on Cartford Lane which is 20p for cyclists). Take the ferry from Knott End to Fleetwood. The ferry runs every half hour, usually 30 mins past and on the hour from Knott End, but this may vary (https://www.facebook.com/FleetwoodtoKnottEndFerry/).
The Ferry costs £3 for an adult with bike, CASH is preferred. Please make sure you have the money for this! the ferry takes 10 minutes.
From Fleetwood follow the NCN route 62 along the promenade as far as Blackpool Tower before turning inland through Stanley Park to Weeton, Wesham, Kirkham, Treales and Woodplumpton, returning to Bilsborrow.
The Total distance is 52 miles, and a pretty flat route.
