We shall pass through the park to Astley Hall where there are toilets. Please bring the usual emergency tools and puncture repair equipment. Daytime running lights can also be a good idea. Lunch can be taken, probably at Tastebuds in Rufford, cash or card required.

Leaving from Astley Park gates, Chorley PR7 1JU
Car Parking is conveniently located on Queens Road car park, PR7 1JU, (What3words:///tummy.bath.love), This is next to the park gates. Turn right immediately after the park gates when entering Chorley from the Preston direction or M61 junction 8. Parking should be free on Sundays but there would be a charge in the daytime other days. There is an alternative car park for Astley Hall on the other side of the park on Hallgate PR7 1NP where there is a £3 charge every day. There are toilets at Astley Hall but only between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The route, in fact, passes clockwise through Astley Park and the Astley Hall Car Park, then through Astley Village and Euxton, via Back Lane to Eccleston. From here it goes via Wrightington, Appley Bridge, Holland Lees and along Lees Lane to Newburgh. Thence to Hoscar, Bispham Green and Rufford. Return route is via Mere Brow, Sollom, Croston, Euxton and Astley Park.
