This ride is to join in with the Cycling UK initiative to get as many people as possible riding their bicycles on Saturday 12th September 2020.
Meet in front of Astley Hall at 10 a.m. using the free car park on Hallgate if necessary (see details below).
The route is as below and ridden at a pace to suit everyone. Due to current restrictions we are limited to a maximum of 6 participants. If you book on over the 6 you will move up a place if somebody drops out, but only the first 6 should attend on the day.

Start is in front of Astley Hall, Chorley. There is a free car park next to the Hall on Hallgate, accessed through Astley Village, PR7 1XA.
The route passes through Astley Village, Euxton Lane and Runshaw Lane to pass through Worden Park. You then go along Dawson Lane, skirting Buckshaw Village to enter Cuerden Park, exiting along Factory Lane then passing through Whittle-le-woods to join the Canal towpath back to Chorley. Exit the towpath at Grey Heights View and straight back through Chorley to the main Astley Park gates to finish by cycling through the park.
This route mostly uses cycle paths and canal towpath with some road sections. There is one short sharp hill in Whittle-le-Woods.
