We will head out over the mosses towards Burscough and back through Mawdsley & Croston with a cafe stop around the halfway point.
Please bring the usual emergency tools and puncture repair equipment. Cash/card if you require lunch.

Start from Brickcroft Nature Reserve, Longton PR4 5YY. What3words ///fully.miles.abode. There is a free car park in the reserve but you may not be happy in using it and prefer to park on the main road, which is usually no problem. The route is Anti-clockwise, heading out on Drumacre Lane then down Liverpool Rd., crossing the by-pass at the roundabout and following NCN route 62 to Bretherton. Then to Southport New Rd., crossing this to pass along Taylors Meanygate to return to Southport New Rd., following the cycle path and crossing to Mere Brow and Holmeswood. Thence turn south skirting Mere Sands Wood to Burscough, followed by more back lanes to Hoscar, Bispham Green, Croston. Return is via Ridley Lane to Midge hall and Brickcroft.
