A height restriction barrier of 2 metres has been placed at the entrance to the car park in Bilsborrow we often use to start our rides. No one seems to be sure who owns the car park and there has never been a problem with its use. I may cause difficulties for some riders who use TALL VANS OR CAMPER VANS, AND DEFINITELY ROOF RACKS, WHO WOULD HAVE TO REMOVE THEIR BIKES AT THE ENTRANCE. It looks perfectly possible to by pass the barrier either side if there are no vehicles parked in the spaces adjacent to the barrier. I do not suppose we are the target of the restrictions and the barrier has not been secured very well (some of the nuts holding it down were loose). For now we propose to continue using this car park but anyone wishing to attend who is concerned about access should message the ride leader beforehand. I attach links to photographs below:
