As I understand it we are now allowed to ride with a group of up to 30, in your dreams! HOWEVER Cycling UK recommends only 15, implying our group insurance may be compromised otherwise, though this isn’t clear. As far as I can tell the requirement to not congregate in a group of more than 6 has gone.
Regarding indoor cafe stops the national guidelines apply, so we can go into a cafe as a group of up to 6 but otherwise would have to split into more than one group. Presumably the cafes would be organised for that anyway.
Although national guidelines do not appear to vary in different regions currently, Bolton council is advising it’s residents not to travel outside the area unless for work, and not to mix outside the existing bubbles. I assume this can not be enforced, but cyclists from Bolton may wish to respect this. Of course, Blackburn with Darwen is similarly afflicted with the Indian variant, but their local council has not as yet applied any additional restrictions as far as I know.
