    The bridge on the cycleway from Croston to Mere Brow will be closed from 8.30 a.m. on Thurs 9th December to 4.30 p.m. on Friday 10th December. This is apparently to replace the matting on the bridge. This will be nice as everyone knows how noisy it is. We assume it will be a much improved job over the last attempt as it is taking two days!

    Its a bit slippery in the wet too – so glad they are fixing it!

    I went to look at Eyes lane yesterday. The bridge in question looks exactly the same! There is a small stone bridge over a drainage ditch just past the bridge in question. This now appears to have a short section of new smooth tarmac over it. Wonderful.

    Now turns out Eyes Lane is closing again! 8.30 a.m to 4.30 p.m. from Monday 10th January to Friday 14th January 2022. As this is an amendment to the previous notice, makes me assume the work has not yet been done (whatever it is).
