    Start of next years Tour of Britain is in central Manchester on Sunday 3rd September. I plan to put on a ride to watch the depart, probably from Chorley being the most practical. No details as to where it is going other than it ends somewhere in Wales.

    The route for the Tour of Britain has finally been announced. Stage 1 is in fact starting in Altrincham and finishing in Manchester. Amazingly the circuit passes through Bolton and Rivington so we can see it locally. I’ll investigate how to incorporate a ride.
