This is quite a hilly ride around the quiet lanes of Lancashire between Blackburn and Preston.

Start from Roe Lee along the by-pass and turn right up Whinney Lane to Mellor. Turn right down Abbott Brow and cross the busy A59 to go down Commons Lane and join the Bezza Lane route towards Preston. After 4 km we return to the A59, crossing straight over and up the hill to the New Hall Tavern. Down the hill to Roach Bridge and then left to Samlesbury Bottoms. The long climb now up to Nabs Head and then take Further Lane past Stanley House before turning left up to Mellor village. Then right and go straight on to Ramsgreave turning right by the Old Bull (now a Co-Op and turn right back to the start point.
