Start at Billington War Memorial. Adjacent parking is available Weekends and School Holidays outside St.Augustines High School, Elker Lane, BB7 9JA
Route passes through Whalley, Great Mitton, then Bashall Eaves, Cowark, Newton and Slaidburn. From Slaidburn is the climb up to the Cross of Greet and descent to Bentham and from here on to Ingleton. After Ingleton is another steep climb along Oddies Lane to reach the imposing Ribblehead Viaduct.
The return is via Selside, Horton in Ribblesdale, Stainforth Settle and Rathmell, followed by Wigglesworth Bolton by Bowland, Sawley, Chatburn, Clitheroe and Whalley.
