A ride up the Sefton Coastal Path, One of the Sustrans ‘150 great days out,’ to pass the Gormley statues.

Sefton Coastal Path alongside the statues can be covered with piles of sand blown in from the beach, not to mention a lot of pedestrians, therefore you may be forced to do a little walking and pushing over a stretch of about 1/2 to 1mile.

Starting from Marine Crescent (Crosby Marina) The path ends at Formby Station and further return route is via Ainsdale (with the option of a cafe stop), Halsall (with option of a cafe stop), Heaton's Bridge, Tarlscough And Holmeswood. We continue along the NCN 91 cycleway to Croston, Ulnes Walton, Runshaw Moor and Euxton returning to Astley Park.

Total distance is 40 miles.
