Start at Billington War Memorial. Adjacent parking is available outside St.Augustines High School, Elker Lane, BB7 9JA, at weekends and during school holidays.
The route is clockwise through Ribchester and Longridge then Haighton Green Lane to Broughton, taking a short section of the Guild Wheel to Roots Cafe in Catforth. Return route is through Myerscough, Bilsborrow, Inglewhite and back into Longridge before climbing up to the Clitheroe Old Road. Following this there is the descent of Birdy Brow to Great Mitton returning to Billington via Whalley.
An alternative route back from Longridge to Great Mitton is via Hurst Green which is easier on the legs
