Start in front of Astley Hall, Chorley. Access is from Astley Hall Car Park, which is on Hallgate in Astley Village PR7 1NP. This is a fairly large car park and is free.
The route is clockwise through Chorley and the Yarrow Valley Way to Birkacre and Coppull. From here to Worthington and Standish, then via Pepper Lane and Hunger Hill to Wrightington, High Moor, Bannister Lane and through Bispham Green to Rufford. From Rufford return is via Hoscar, through Bispham Green again to Croston, Ulnes Walton and Runshaw Lane, back to Astley Park.
