Starting at the top of Factory Lane where it joins the A6, Whittle-le-Woods, Chorley PR6 7HS. The adjacent War Memorial Car Park (which is free) is accessed through a narrow entrance on the corner of the A6 Preston Road and Factory Lane itself. St John's Primary School is on the opposite corner and Whittlebrook Pharmacy on the opposite side of the road. (what3words address: flagging.poorly.system). It will probably be possible to park on Factory lane itself. There is also pay car park at the bottom of Factory Lane for Cuerden Park.
The route is Anti-clockwise, down Factory lane following a short section of the Cuerden cycleway to Buckshaw Village. The route then follows the NCN 91 cycleway through Leyland, Croston and Eyes Lane to Sollom. Then from Mere Brow to Tarlscough and Burscough Bridge. Return route is via Curlew Lane to Rufford, Bispham Green, Wrightington, Charnock Richard, Chorley and Buckshaw Village, back to Whittle-le-Woods.
