Starts at Astley Park gates, Chorley PR7 1JU.
Car Parking is conveniently located on Queens Road car park, PR7 1JU. This is next to the park gates. Turn right immediately after the park gates when entering Chorley from the Preston direction or M61 junction 8. Parking is free after 5 p.m. and on Sundays. There is an alternative car park on Hallgate, Astley Village, Chorley PR7 1NP. This is a fairly large car park and is free. You can cycle through the park to the start.
The route passes down to Botany Bay, crossing the A674 to Wheelton Village, Brinscall and Abbey Village to the motorway roundabout. Thence to Riley Green returning via Brindle, Whittle-le-Woods and Buckshaw Village. Very similar to NW Chorley Loop but includes Pippin Street.
