Start is from the Car Park at the Buckshaw Village Community Playing Fields (Buckshaw Bernabau) on Old Worden Lane, Buckshaw Village PR7 7AE (What3Words ///lamenting.wording.equity). The car park is free and usually quiet if there are no football matches in progress.
The route is Anti-Clockwise through Leyland, past Worden Park then following NCN 91 to Croston, Sollom, Mere Brow and Banks. From here through Crossens to Churchtown passing the Botanic Gardens. From here it goes along Moss and Wyke Lanes eventually to Burscough Bridge, returning via Bispham Green, Eccleston and Euxton.
