A super ride today in great conditions and a good group …what more can you expect from a bike ride?
Congrats to Stephen …the Ride was efficiently fitted into the storm free period of today. Blackpool beach looked amazing and even exotic!Just reading an interesting history of the bridge and Tramway. All part of a scheme to connect Kendal, Lancaster, Preston to the Leeds Liverpool canal (at Whittle) and on to the Wigan coalfields. This despite trying to fund the venture on a very tight budget.For the few who don’t know this already, I am sure to have more information when I have finished reading. You have been warned.
Good to hear Ken. Good also to see Stephen’s skills when needed. We all tend to dismiss the effects of a fall and the lift back by Terry was another BSB team supportive action. Good group.

Promised ‘latest guidance’ from BC today. Not sure that will answer queries on how far we can cycle and if we can travel further afield to cycle. BC ‘waiting for information from GOVT + Sport England.’
