Sorry to hear this, and condolences to Bob’s friends and family.
I lost my sister last December, killed while cycling by a reckless driver. It made me question whether cycling is a good idea on roads. After this i could not get on a bike for 2 months. It’s natural to think this way, i had to allow myself to grieve.
But don’t give up cycling. Bob loved cycling, he knew the risks and lived his life that way. The best tribute the rest of us can give is to keep riding

From w/c 11th Apr I am going to put up some evening rides round Blackburn as the light evenings are with us. They will be short and straightforward for now as I am a bit rusty (like my bicycle) and need to work off my lockdown belly.
What can go wrong??

All things equal I would like to do it this year. It is normally a brilliantly organised event but I was always a bit deterred from repeating previous rides, trying to re-capture my lost youth (cough cough)
A new course could be interesting.
My cycling has been pretty much zero through the winter so a ride like this could be a motivational target. Or a nervous breakdown.

Yes, let’s do it. I think i have overcome the IT of registering so next lesson is loading a ride. If I mis-key something and by mistake hack into the NATO defence system and launch a Trident missile you will have to make allowances
